I decided to try this shop out due to a co worker's review . Once I walked in the owner that I came to see was kept trying to pass me off to another nail tech. She made up an excuse that it would take her an hour and I should go to a different tech. So I left and decided I'll take the hour appointment when I call no more than 3 mins and told her who I was she made up another excuse saying she had just booked the appointment and to come back another day.
I heard that Jp and Jacob are trying to go against the agreement that They had with Evon. I have to say if you have been in and have had your nails or a pedi you will agree with me, that she and the techs they have are GREAT. I LOVE Evon a lot better and do not feel rushed or unwanted.
I have been to Royal Nails through two sets of managers, now. It was a great salon when Jacob and JP were there, but now, it is an AMAZING salon. The techs are gentle, kind, thorough, and patient. I never feel rushed so someone else can sit in my chair. The entire experience is relaxing.
The salon is very very nice and clean. The technicians are all very friendly and want to engage in conversation... some of them don’t speak English fluently but that didn’t bother me at all... how will people learn if you don’t converse with them right?... ANYWAY the reason I’m not leaving a 5 star review is because I won’t be returning. I went in today for a eyebrow wax and was told there would be a 15 minute wait. This other lady, let’s call her Miss Agenda, walls in demanding to know how long she’d have to wait because she had somewhere to be. Well the lady whom was already on the room, ahead of me, came out, Miss Agenda took it upon herself to go to the manager to ask if she could go if not she’s be leaving to return Monday... the manager let her skip me. Didn’t even look st me, didn’t consult with me, nothing... just let Miss Agenda skip me because she just had somewhere to be. Look I had money as well. I sat thee patiently and was treated like I didn’t matter. I walked out and went to Woodville Nails up the road and received immediate service.
I have been coming to this salon to get my feet done for almost two years now. They are very competent and friendly, and work hard to make sure you have a pleasant experience there. I trust them to take care of my feet, because I work long hours on them, so I need a bit of TLC. For man or woman, I recommend Royal Spa.
Evon, which is the new manager is GREAT and I would never go to another salon in woodville or any other around
